The mirror glass does not need to be removed to install the cover but in some circumstances the cover may be too tight.
If you need to remove the glass, tilt it all the way up or down with the motor and pry from the top or bottom whilst being fairly gentle.
Never pry glass from the sides as it WILL BREAK.
